Clint Eastwood has lost his longtime partner, 33 years younger Christina Sandera.
Sandera passed away at the age of 61, and Eastwood spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, stating that Christina was a “wonderful and dear woman,” adding that he will “miss her greatly.”
His spokesperson mentioned that no further information about Christina’s death would be shared.
The famous actor and Christina Sandera had been together since 2014, and their relationship was marked by Christina’s close bond with his family. She was often seen with his children at some of Clint’s premieres.
When they met, Sandera was a hostess at Eastwood’s hotel in Monterey, California.
According to foreign media reports, Clint saved Christina from her abusive ex-husband. He once said that she was the first woman who was not with him because of his fame. However, he never wanted to marry her.
Before their romance, Eastwood was married to journalist Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014, when he started his relationship with Christina.
Prior to that, he was married to Maggie Johnson until 1987. Besides these marriages, he had many relationships that were covered in the media. Among his partners was Noor Alfallah, who had a child with Al Pacino in his later years.
